How Varioprint brings the home into the office: new top-floor office

Our new collaboration office is open. We have transformed the top floor into an inviting collaborative space that will help us to remain flexible and productive in the future.

It was with joy, pride and gratitude that we were able to celebrate the completion and inauguration of the new top floor of the office building last month together with many members of the Varioprint team. The pandemic caused a major delay in the renovation. All the greater was the joy that the long construction phase has now come to an end. We have transformed the top floor into an inviting collaborative space that will help us to remain flexible and productive in the future.

There were many reasons for the remodelling
On the one hand, we wanted to utilise the open space on the top floor, which previously had no clear purpose. There was no concrete idea for the final extension. However, there was a latent need to do something with the top floor. Secondly, the coronavirus pandemic was the perfect time for the remodelling. True to the motto "Every crisis offers an opportunity", the time was used to put the open space on the top floor to a new use.
The pandemic may have forced us to adapt, but it has also given us the opportunity to improve our working environment. By remodelling the top floor, we have created the opportunity for our employees to communicate and come together even in times of home office and social distancing rules.

Symbiosis of home and office
The main idea behind the remodelling was to promote and simplify communication and collaboration within the company. The aim was to create an inviting collaborative zone. The remodelling also attempted to create a symbiosis between home and office. Various design elements are intended to emphasise or enhance the homeliness of the working environment. With the remodelling, we have succeeded in bringing a little home into the office.

Productive working environment
The multifunctionality of the various rooms and elements ensures that there is something for everyone and for every need. The arena is ideal for presentations and training courses, the meeting rooms are modern, warm and attractively designed, and the individual workstations invite you to hold video and telephone conferences outside the open-plan offices. They also serve as a place of retreat to hold discussions or work on concepts. The coffee bar and associated lounge are intended to act as an "entrance gate" and an inviting element for subsequent meetings and encounters.

Hotel-inspired interior design
The inspiration for this extension comes from architecture for the hotel industry. Nowhere else succeeds better in converting rooms to a completely different purpose in just a few simple steps. Varioprint also took this philosophy to heart during the remodelling. As an interim conclusion, it can be said that the remodelling has been a complete success.

It is also an expression of how the culture of Varioprint AG is evolving. The premises have been designed with openness, a spirit of innovation and joy in personal encounters. The task now is to utilise the newly created working atmosphere.

Powering (y)our performance
Not only are our products future-orientated, but we also see ourselves as a future-orientated employer. It is important to us to offer our employees good workplaces where they feel comfortable and which inspire them and give them what they need. Thanks to the remodelling, we as the Varioprint team have now created an additional, more modern working environment that enables our team to adapt to different situations and work individually or as a team.

We can now work even better as a team, exchange ideas and drive projects forward together. All of these advantages benefit our customers, as the remodelling enables us to offer them even better and more personalised support.

It's quite simple: more satisfied employees make for more satisfied customers. There is a wealth of statistics and facts to prove this.
